What power generation operators are solving today
The power generation sector operates under simultaneous pressure from dispatch, fuel cost, CRE/CENACE regulation and the modernization of aged fleets. Every technical intervention has to close three equations at once: reliability, compliance and cost.
- Fleet modernization for units with 20 to 40 years of service under public utility operation
- Regulatory compliance (CFE LAPEM, CRE, CENACE) for utility, autogeneration and cogeneration permits
- Operational availability above 98% demanded by the grid for dispatchable assets
- Variable load curve that stresses synchronous generators, exciters and rotor windings
- Periodic technical audits required to keep generation permits valid
- Acceptance testing under IEEE 115 and IEC 60034 for commercial operation release

FAQ
Frequently asked questions — Power generation service
Preguntas que recibimos con frecuencia. ¿No encuentras la tuya? Escríbenos a ventas@temisa.mx.
Do you serve generators in CFE (Mexican utility) plants?
Yes. We operate under CFE LAPEM W4200-12 certification for generators 1 to 100 MVA — the certification required by CFE for operational release of electrical generators. We coordinate the LAPEM audit directly when the contract requires it.
Can you commission new generators under IEEE 115 and CFE LAPEM?
Yes. We deliver the full acceptance package: Hipot AC/DC, polarization index, power factor, surge comparison, no-load and short-circuit saturation curves, and grid synchronization under IEEE 115. The signed acceptance protocol supports commercial operation release.
How is an emergency at a power generation plant handled?
Priority response coordinated with plant operations. The first phase is remote diagnosis to pre-stage critical spares and the right specialist profile before mobilizing. ISO 9001:2015 traceability is preserved even on emergency interventions.
Do you rehabilitate aged fleets of 20 to 40 years?
Yes. We rehabilitate generators in legacy fleets: upgrade of insulation systems to Class F/H, brushless exciter retrofit with digital AVR, protection modernization and major mechanical overhaul. Useful life is extended 15 to 25 years.
Do you handle cogeneration and self-supply IPPs under permits?
Yes. We serve private IPPs under CRE/CENACE permits: efficient cogeneration, self-supply and distributed generation. We deliver commissioning, scheduled maintenance and rehabilitation under the standards currently in force.
